Grip strength test dynamometer
There are a varietry of techniques to assess muscular strength. A common and convenient method is to use a grip dynamometer test of hand grip strength.

Performing the hand grip strength test
To measure grip strength clients should follow these instructions:

Stand up.
Hold the grip dynamometer in one hand with your arm rest next to your thigh.
Adjust the grip dynonometer so the grip is between fingers and palm at the base of the thumb.
Hold firmly and begin to squeeze as much as possible - you should be aiming for maximal force.

Normally record the score for the dominant side, unless the program requires otherwise.
